Check what version of SMB they are runningthey are running. If it is not one SMB v1 then you will need disable that version enable the others. Disable SMB v1. OK, I think it's shsring to go back to basics. You say you can ping the server, but I see you're using an IP address, have you confirmed the server still has that IP address and it's not been duplicated elsewhere which could be responding to the ping?
After that i'd be looking at installing wireshark on a client and seeing what the traffic logs show. It still smells to me like there's something else on the dssentials with that IP, or some sort of conflict. The issue definately seems to be with that IP address on the server. Then ping the old one and see if you get a response, and do the same tests with the new IP address.
